How to update a firmware on Ricoh camera?

Requirements

• Ricoh Theta Z1 camera

• Cable USB C to connect Ricoh camera to computer.

• A computer with the Ricoh Theta desktop app installed

• Ricoh Theta desktop app (Windows) https://theta360.com/intl/support/download/pcapp/windows
• Ricoh Theta desktop app (Mac) https://theta360.com/intl/support/download/pcapp/macosx

• Sufficient battery charge on the camera

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Connect Your Camera

   • Use the cable to connect the Ricoh theta camera to your computer.

   • Ensure the camera is powered on and has at least 50% battery.

2. Open the Ricoh Theta App

   • Launch the Ricoh Theta desktop application on your computer.

   • Wait a few seconds for the app to detect the connected camera.

3. Initiate Firmware Update

   • In the application, go to the File menu.

   • Click Firmware Update.

4. Follow the On-Screen Instructions

   • The app will guide you through the update process.

   • Do not disconnect the camera or power off your computer during this time.

5. Complete the Update
