How to Capture a 360° Exterior Photo of an adidas Store ?
This guide explains how to capture a 360° photo of the exterior of an adidas store, which can then be integrated into your virtual tour.
- Position the Camera
- If you are using Ricoh Theta Z1 place your camera outside the store in a location that provides a clear view of the exterior.
- If you are using an iPad, position yourself outside the store in a location that provides a clear view of the exterior.
- Open the Matterport Capture App
- Launch the Matterport Capture app on your tablet or device connected to the camera.
- Navigate to the Settings or Options menu.

- Select 360° Capture
- In the settings, choose the 360° Capture option.
- Note: This is different from standard 3D scanning, as you are only capturing a panoramic image.

- In the top right corner, click Place on Map to position the 360° icon on your floor plan.
- Drag and drop the icon approximately where you took the photo. Precision is helpful, but the placement does not need to be exact.

- Use the preview to confirm the orientation of the 360° image.
- Ensure it is facing the correct direction — for example, showing the adidas entrance — so viewers in the tour see the proper perspective when they click the icon.
